Helping families find PEACE in every step of their journey.
Helping families find PEACE in every step of their journey.
As human beings, we’re wired for connection. At our core, we are social creatures who need belonging, support, and compassion. When that connection is missing, life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, lonely, and even frightening.
No matter what you’re experiencing, you’re not alone.
During times of stress, what you need most is someone who understands what you are going through — someone who can help you feel seen, heard, and supported. A safe, non-judgmental space where you can reconnect with yourself, and where you can be guided toward dependable strategies, helpful knowledge, community resources, services, and trusted care professionals who can empower you to move forward.
We are that space and that connection for you. We’re here to walk beside you and help you find whatever support you need.
With the right support, knowledge, and care, even the toughest moments can become opportunities for healing, growth, and reconnection.
At the heart of what we do is a commitment to helping you find PEACE — Patience, Ease, Acceptance, Clarity, and Empowerment — in every step of your journey.
Our Vision
Our vision is to empower individuals and families to live the happiest, healthiest, and most connected lives they can - helping them overcome stress, avoid crisis and create a thriving future for generations to come.
Our “Why”
When our son was 16, he was taken to the hospital by police after threatening to jump from a rooftop at his school. He was admitted to the child and youth mental health unit, which marked the beginning of months in and out of hospital—and a long, difficult journey navigating the mental health and education systems.
At the same time, our daughter was excited about starting university and her life as an adult, while my mother’s health was rapidly declining, and we were trying to keep up with work and life. It was overwhelming .
When our son was discharged from the hospital, we had no idea what to do next. We were scared, exhausted and felt like we were alone. What we needed most was someone who had been through something similar—someone who could guide us through supporting a son in crisis, a daughter in need of emotional support, an aging parent requiring increasing care, and the need to care for ourselves while navigating all of that. We needed information, trusted resources, and most of all, hope. But that kind of support didn’t exist.
Seven years later, we found ourselves back in the hospital, once again seeking safety for him. We couldn’t help but wonder—if we’d had the right support earlier, would that New Year’s Day text—“Can you take me to the hospital?”—have ever come? And when did our need for support actually begin?
Maybe it started when we began navigating parenthood. Or when I struggled with anxiety. Or when our son was diagnosed with ADHD, when our daughter needed support of her own, when my mother was diagnosed with lupus, or when our son’s challenges grew into OCD and addiction…? Maybe it began even earlier—when my father died of cancer when I was a teen and I needed support of my own, or when my husband’s parents divorced during his adolescence…
I’m not sure when our need for support began—and I really don’t know when it ends. But I do know this: if we had somewhere to turn, a place that truly understood what we were facing and could walk with us through it, our path would have looked very different.
That’s why we created PEACE Family Support Services.
To be that place.
To walk with families—every step of the way.
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are, and change the ending.”
